Description
The SC 1004 is a ring cushion with the front of the ring left open. Because the central opening continues forward, the perineal area is left free at the front as well as around the sides — the real difference from the closed ring, and the reason it is chosen after local surgery and in the postnatal period. At around 40 cm in diameter it fits chairs, wheelchairs and car seats. It is used for haemorrhoid complaints, tailbone pain and other situations where sitting is difficult. The open-ended shape slightly reduces support around the seating circumference, so if more even all-round support is wanted, the closed SC 1001 can be considered. Place the cushion with the open side facing forward. If you have to sit for long periods, standing up and changing position at intervals is still advisable.
