Description
The VP 1001 is a viscoelastic pillow contoured to support the cervical curve. The lobes at either end are 10 cm and 8 cm high, which means you can turn the pillow to choose the height that suits your shoulder width and preferred sleeping position — the feature a flat pillow does not offer. The viscoelastic foam softens with body heat, takes the shape of the head and neck, and returns slowly to its original form, so support stays in the same place through the night. It is used to fill the gap under the neck when lying on the back and to keep the head level with the shoulder when lying on the side. At around 46x30 cm it is close in size to a standard pillowcase. Getting used to a new orthopaedic pillow can take a few nights; if your neck pain persists or increases, ask your doctor which pillow height is appropriate.
