Description
A below-knee compression stocking applies graduated pressure to the lower leg to limit the widening of the veins over the course of the day. Class CCL1 delivers light compression in the 18-22 mmHg range, the level usually chosen by people who stand or sit for long hours and feel heaviness or fatigue in the legs. The correct size is found by measuring ankle and lower-calf circumference; the garment only works as intended if that measurement is accurate. Put the stocking on first thing in the morning while the legs are still rested, wear it through the day and take it off at night. The black colourway is chosen because it blends more easily with everyday clothing. Hand wash in lukewarm water and dry flat on a towel without wringing. Ask your doctor which compression class is right for you.
