Description
An endo box is the metal case used to keep root canal files, spreaders, pluggers and burs organised. The perforated holding plate lets instruments be arranged by size and length, so the right file is picked quickly during treatment and the risk of reaching for the wrong size drops. The metal body and lid allow the instruments to be sterilised inside the box, so a set stays in its prepared order right up to the point of use. The large size is chosen by practices and teaching clinics that carry several file series along with burs. The foam or silicone insert inside wears over time; instruments starting to sit loose is the sign that it needs replacing. Organic residue must be cleaned out of the box before sterilisation for the cycle to be effective.
