Description
The Epi-Derm mastopexy sheet is silicone gel sheeting shaped for the scar pattern left by breast lift and reduction surgery. In these procedures the scar usually starts around the areola, runs vertically down and meets a horizontal line in the breast fold — the anchor or inverted-T shape — and covering that with several flat sheets leaves gaps at the joins. The one-piece mastopexy form covers the whole pattern at once. The moist, occlusive environment silicone creates over the scar helps the tissue soften and flatten over time. The sheets are used as a pair, one per breast, and sit under a bra so they can be worn during the day. Wear is up to 12 hours at a time; washed with a non-foaming, fragrance-free cleanser and dried, each sheet lasts around 2–3 weeks. The product is non-sterile and is applied only after the incisions have fully closed.
