Exercise Weights — Lead and Sand (AL Series)

Description

These exercise weights are strapped to the wrist or ankle for exercising weakened muscles, for sports activity and in physiotherapy programmes. Two types are offered and the choice follows the intended use. The lead weights consist of a neoprene wrap with six pockets, each holding a separate lead block; removing or adding blocks lets you change the load in steps. That is a real advantage in rehabilitation, where the load has to be increased gradually — one product gives you several levels. The lead models are AL-1000 (1.5 kg, 6 × 250 g), AL-1001 (2.5 kg, 6 × 420 g) and AL-1002 (5.0 kg, 6 × 830 g). The sand weights are made from Impertex fabric filled with steel granules and are a fixed weight: AL-1010 at 500 g, AL-1012 at 1000 g and AL-1014 at 2000 g. A fixed weight is practical for programmes where the load and repetitions are set in advance. Do not fasten the weight too tightly around the limb; it must not restrict circulation. Increase the load according to your physiotherapist's or doctor's programme rather than on your own, and stop the exercise if you feel pain.
