Description
The Frasaco AK-6 is an upper and lower jaw model made for paediatric dentistry training. Its 20 deciduous teeth and 4 permanent molars reproduce the mixed dentition stage with correct anatomy, which suits it to deciduous tooth preparation, stainless steel crown fitting and space maintainer exercises. The maxillary anterior teeth are inserted and the remaining teeth are screwed in, so a worked tooth can be replaced individually instead of retiring the whole model. The elastic, removable gingiva gives realistic soft tissue for gum-related procedures and can be ordered separately when worn. Optional deciduous teeth with red-filled pulp chambers make it visible when a preparation approaches the pulp, and are used for pulpotomy practice. A quick-change device mounts and releases the model from its plate in seconds, and the DAK demonstration articulator allows simple functional movements to be shown. The model also serves chairside as a visual aid when explaining treatment to parents.
