Description
Frasaco manufactures the phantom heads and jaw models used in dental education, and paediatric training models are among its product groups. These replacement teeth are removable parts fitted in place of teeth in a paediatric jaw model that have worn out or been cut away in exercises. Primary teeth differ anatomically from permanent teeth: their enamel and dentine layers are thinner and the pulp chamber is proportionally larger. Preparing a primary tooth therefore calls for a distinct manual skill, one a student cannot acquire on a permanent-tooth model. Replacement teeth allow cavity preparation, restorative placement and pulp therapy exercises to be repeated as often as needed: the worn tooth is discarded while the investment in the jaw model and phantom head is preserved. When ordering, confirm that the set matches the Frasaco paediatric jaw model series you use, as sockets are not always interchangeable between series.
