Description
The FS-892 is a static commode chair for people who cannot walk to the bathroom but can move from the bed to a chair beside it. The wooden frame makes it look closer to household furniture than a metal model — for a product that will stand permanently in a bedroom or living room, that difference can matter to how comfortable the user feels about it. The seat has a cover, so with the lid closed the unit reads as an ordinary chair. The pan is removable and lidded, which simplifies emptying and cleaning and limits odour. There are no wheels: that keeps the chair from sliding while someone sits, but also means it does not travel between rooms — if transport is needed, consider the wheeled FS-681 or FS-692 instead. Place it right beside the bed, close to a fixed surface the user can hold on to during the transfer.
