Description
The FS975-51 offers a 51 cm seat for users who find the standard width too narrow. Two features set it apart: the armrests and footrests both detach. Removing an armrest lets you slide the user sideways from a bed or a WC rather than lifting them forward — safer for the user and easier on the carer's back. Removing the footrests keeps feet from catching during that transfer and makes the chair pack into a car boot more easily. The rear tyres are pneumatic, giving a noticeably softer ride than solid tyres on rough ground and outdoors, at the cost of needing regular pressure checks — low pressure makes the chair harder to push and weakens the brakes' grip. The front castors are solid and maintenance-free. The chromed steel frame is rated for use up to 125 kg. The chair folds for transport.
