Description
This roll belongs to the Tex Gold line from Kinesio, the original kinesiology taping brand; it is 5 centimetres wide, 5 metres long and blue. Colour is purely a visual preference — blue, navy and black rolls share the same weave and adhesive and perform identically. The weave is engineered to approximate the elasticity of skin; the structure the brand calls 'nano-touch' imitates the hand contact of manual therapy so that sensory input to the skin stays continuous. The adhesive surface is thinner and lower in tack; this 'micro-grip' structure lets the tape sit more lightly while its tight fibrils keep it anchored. 'Micro-stimulation' describes the tape being designed not to irritate the skin. Application technique matters more than the product itself: correct tension and direction require knowledge of muscle anatomy, so it is best to have the first application done alongside a physiotherapist. Clean, dry, lotion-free skin makes the tape stay on longer.
