Description

This neoprene knee support provides warmth and compression for complaints around the kneecap. What sets it apart is the open patella area with a pad around it: no pressure bears on the kneecap itself, while the pad encircling it supports the patella in holding its position through movement. The neoprene wraps the knee and retains heat; warmth and compression together help reduce the feeling of tightness around the joint and make it feel more stable. Common situations of use are degenerative joint change, pain arising from the kneecap, increased joint fluid, and the protection and rehabilitation period after surgery. Because the hook-and-loop straps fasten at the front over the upper calf, the support can be put on and taken off without bending down. Size is chosen by knee circumference: Small 30–33 cm, Medium 33–36 cm, Large 36–39 cm, X-Large 39–42 cm and XX-Large 42–45 cm. Do not buy without measuring; a support that is too tight restricts circulation, while one that is too loose slides down and does nothing. It is not suitable if you have a neoprene sensitivity.
