Description
At 8 cm, the Mambo Max spiky ball sits between palm-sized hand work and massage aimed at larger muscle groups. Rolled back and forth under the sole of the foot, the spikes stimulate the plantar tissue — a routine commonly used by people who stand all day or run long distances to release tension in the foot. On medium-sized muscle groups such as the calf and hamstrings you can put the ball on the floor and lean your weight onto it, or trap it between your back and a wall to press around the shoulder blade. The spiky surface adds a more superficial stimulus than a smooth massage ball, so keep pressure brief and controlled the first few times. For more pinpointed work the 6 cm size is available, and for broader pressure across larger areas the 10 cm.
