Description
This patella stabiliser is a neoprene knee brace whose buttress surrounds the kneecap and helps keep it tracking in line. It is used where the patella tends to shift and to support the knee after patellar surgery. The one-size build with adjustable straps fits a wide range of knee circumferences and can be retensioned as swelling changes. The soft neoprene grips so the brace does not slide, and keeps the joint warm. For users with a very large knee circumference the universal size may not be enough, in which case a made-to-measure version is considered. It is normally worn on medical advice and not recommended while sleeping. If collateral ligament support is also needed, patella-and-ligament models are worth considering.
