Description
The KB 711 combines the comfort of a knitted knee support with lateral reinforcement. Aluminium bars on either side of the knee limit sideways movement, while the patella support surrounds and holds the kneecap in place. Elastic straps above and below keep the brace from sliding and let you set how firmly it sits. The circular-knit elastic fabric preserves the breathability that matters in a reinforced brace. It is used in conditions involving the cruciate ligaments, in meniscus degeneration, and in rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis. Size is selected by measuring knee circumference, with the 30-45 cm range split into five sizes. If spiral springs are preferred over aluminium bars, the KB 714 is the alternative; where no lateral support is needed, the KB 314 with patella support alone is enough. For post-operative use the level of support should be decided by your doctor.
