Description
The Riester anestophon is a single-head stethoscope designed around blood pressure measurement and general nursing practice. Its defining feature is the CNC-machined aluminium chestpiece — edgeless and unusually flat, so it slides under a blood pressure cuff without forcing, which removes the struggle a thick chestpiece causes when there is no room left between cuff and arm. The 28 mm membrane has a flat, soft non-chill rim that both seats better against the skin and keeps the patient from feeling cold metal. Overall length is 77 cm. The reinforced PVC Y-tube shields the sound path from stray ambient noise. The matt chromium-plated binaural can be turned to set the angle to your ear canals, and the soft ear-tips screw on with a metal thread so they seat firmly and can be replaced as they wear. The stethoscope is latex free. A pair of replacement ear-tips and a spare membrane are supplied in the box, so the first wear does not take the instrument out of service.
