Description
The Riester sanaphon is a classic palm-style aneroid sphygmomanometer that carries its stethoscope built into the body. Because you do not have to hold a separate stethoscope, taking a reading single-handed becomes far easier — the defining point of the design for people monitoring their own blood pressure and for carers measuring alone at home. The Ø 64 mm linear scale reads from 0 to 300 mmHg with a tolerance of ± 3 mmHg. The housing is lightweight aluminium with corrosion protection and the handle is stainless steel. The precision air-release valve lets you control the deflation rate, and used correctly the instrument needs no recalibration. A micro filter shields the measuring system from dust and moisture. The integrated stethoscope is latex free and has soft ear-tips. Adult, large adult and child cuffs are available; a cuff that does not match the arm circumference distorts the reading directly. The device comes in a padded nylon bag and is made in Germany. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, but accessory and service support continues.
