Description
The FS-3238W is a powder-coated steel homecare bed. What separates a care bed from an ordinary one is not only that the back section raises; it is that you can work safely around it and change the user's position easily. Adjusting the back and knee sections provides the semi-upright posture needed for eating, reading and easier breathing, and it also breaks up sustained pressure on one area, which is central to managing pressure injury risk. The side rails drop down: raised at night they reduce fall risk, lowered by day they keep the user connected to the room. The head and foot boards detach, which becomes decisive when the bed has to come up a narrow staircase. Central locking secures all four castors from one pedal — check they are locked every time the patient gets in or out. Plan the mattress alongside the bed: for someone spending long periods lying down, the mattress choice matters as much as the bed.
