Description
An IV stand exists to hold the fluid bag well above the patient so gravity keeps the infusion rate steady. The FS-515's wide 136–230 cm range lets you find the right hanging height whether the patient is lying in bed, sitting or standing. The base sits on plastic feet: lighter than a metal-based stand and less likely to mark the floor, though for heavier infusion pumps the metal-based FS-516 is the more stable choice. Being on castors, the stand travels with the patient — for a trip to the bathroom, move the stand first so the line is never pulled tight. When raising the column, check that the clamp is fully tightened; a telescopic pole left loose can sink under load. Lowering it to its shortest setting when not in use reduces the risk of it tipping.
