Description
A wheel-free walking frame is the most stable of the walking aids: with all four feet on the ground, the user can safely transfer a large share of their weight onto it. The FS-919L is a lightweight aluminium model in that group. It is used differently from wheeled frames: you lift it forward, set it down, then step. That takes arm strength at every step, so if the user's arms are not up to it, a front-wheeled model such as the FS-912L is the better fit. Height is set by push-buttons — check after every adjustment that all four legs are on the same notch, since mismatched legs make the frame rock. The rubber tips are the frame's only contact with the floor and lose their grip once the tread flattens; treat them as a consumable and replace them as they wear. The folding frame stores away easily and loads into a car.
