Description
Half-length insoles cover only the heel and midfoot of the shoe. Because they do not extend under the toes they take up no room in the forefoot and do not tighten the fit — a clear advantage over full-length insoles in already narrow dress shoes and flats. This model has a soft cushion at the heel, aimed at reducing the heel fatigue that comes from standing for long periods and walking on hard floors. A flexible pad along the inner side of the foot supports the arch. The choice of materials is what sets the product apart: the top surface is leather, with activated carbon beneath. Leather absorbs the moisture the foot produces, keeping the inside of the shoe drier, while activated carbon neutralises odours — both matter particularly to anyone in closed shoes all day. After fitting the insole, wear it for short periods at first to let your feet adapt. This is a general comfort product; persistent pain, heel spur or diabetic foot call for an insole chosen after a clinical assessment.
