Description
A lancing device takes the drop of blood needed before a glucose test, driving a sterile lancet into the fingertip quickly and to a controlled depth. That control is the reason it is preferred over pricking by hand: because depth and speed stay constant, the test hurts less and yields a similar sample every time. This model has a round-based lancet holder and a compact body that fits easily in a bag. It works with standard sterile lancets, which are single-use and must be replaced after every test — a reused lancet has a blunted tip and carries an infection risk. If you test several times a day, rotating fingers and sampling from the side of the fingertip rather than the centre reduces callusing and soreness. The device is personal and should never be shared.
