Description
The TENA bed protector is a disposable underpad used in patient care to protect the mattress and bedding from leakage. It is built in three layers: a soft textile top sheet against the skin, an absorbent core that draws fluid in, and a waterproof backing that stops fluid reaching the bed. Used alongside an incontinence brief, it means a leak does not force a complete change of bedding — which cuts both the workload and how often a bed-bound patient has to be disturbed. At 90 × 180 cm it is noticeably larger than standard underpads; it can be laid the full length of the bed and fits a double bed, so there is less risk of the patient moving off the protected area overnight. The product is suitable for sensitive skin and can also be used on examination couches and wheelchairs. The pack contains 30 pieces. The underpad is single use: once wet it should be replaced rather than reused.
