Description
The HB 5314 is a narrow strap that applies pressure to the forearm muscles just below the elbow joint. Its purpose is not to immobilise the elbow but to shift load away from the muscle-tendon junction to the point where the strap sits, so correct positioning determines how well it works. The perforated neoprene keeps the area warm, and the terry lining absorbs sweat without irritating the skin. The outer surface accepts Velcro, so tension can be set steplessly. It is used for strain over the epicondyle, where muscle-fibre support is needed, and together with a cold gel pack in acute oedema. It is made in one size and wraps to fit the elbow circumference. If you want a solution that encloses the whole elbow with a silicone pad, consider the KB 535 knitted elbow support.
