Medical Oxygen Cylinder 5 L / 10 L

Description

A medical oxygen cylinder supplies compressed oxygen for home or portable use where a doctor has prescribed oxygen therapy. The cylinder body is made from seamless tube manufactured to TS EN ISO 9809-1 and falls under the Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED 2010/35/EC). That certification means the cylinder's pressure rating and its periodic retest obligation are formally defined. Two capacities are offered: the 5 litre cylinder suits situations where portability matters, while the 10 litre cylinder gives a longer run time at the same flow rate. Cylinders are supplied filled. Remember that the cylinder cannot be used on its own: a regulator and gauge are needed to set the flow, a humidifier bottle to protect the mucosa, and a mask or nasal cannula to deliver the oxygen to the patient. Oxygen does not burn but it accelerates combustion: keep the cylinder away from flame, cookers and cigarettes, never let it contact oil or grease, and secure it upright so it cannot fall. The flow rate must be kept at the value set by the doctor.
