Description
A compressor nebuliser uses pressurised air to break prescribed liquid medication into a fine mist you breathe in, and is used at home in conditions such as asthma, COPD and bronchiolitis in children. The 7–8 L/min air flow of the Mesilife BR-CN118 drives the medication out of the cup quickly; a higher flow shortens the session, which matters most with children who find it hard to sit still under a mask. The unit is rated for 24-hour operation, so it copes with several sessions a day or with more than one person in the household using it without needing to rest between runs. A lidded compartment in the housing keeps the mask, mouthpiece and tubing inside the device, which stops parts from being lost or gathering dust. After every use the medication cup and mask should be washed and dried according to the instructions, and the air filter replaced once it is soiled — without this the flow drops and sessions take longer. The device does not determine the medication; which drug, what dose and how often are set by your doctor.
