Description
A triflow is a breathing exerciser that lets you see your own inhalation. It has three chambers, each representing a different flow level: 600, 900 and 1200 cc. As you breathe in slowly and deeply through the mouthpiece, the balls rise in turn, making both the strength and the duration of the effort visible; that feedback helps someone exercising alone keep their technique consistent. The device is made from medical grade material, with polyethylene tubing and an anatomically shaped mouthpiece. A patient information label is supplied with it. It is used after surgery and in situations where lung capacity needs support, at the number of repetitions and frequency set by a doctor or physiotherapist. Drawing the breath slowly and under control, rather than sharply, is what the exercise is designed for. The mouthpiece and tubing are personal items and should not be shared.
