Description
The Respirox 10-litre oxygen concentrator is a stationary unit for patients whose flow requirement exceeds what a standard 5-litre device can supply. It makes oxygen by PSA, retaining the nitrogen in room air, so it runs as long as there is mains power and there are no cylinder refills to track. Delivering up to 10 litres per minute also allows the unit to feed two patients through a flow splitter — an option worth considering where two people in the same household are on oxygen. The concentrator warns on falling purity, pressure changes, power failure and filter replacement, and its castored housing lets you move it between rooms. High-flow units use a stronger compressor than 5-litre models and are generally heavier and louder, so it is worth planning where the device will sit before installation.
