Description
The Respirox 5-litre oxygen concentrator is a stationary unit for people on long-term oxygen therapy at home. Unlike cylinder oxygen it does not deliver from a store but makes oxygen from the surrounding air: pressure swing adsorption (PSA) retains the nitrogen in the air and leaves a high concentration of oxygen behind. It therefore runs for as long as there is mains power, with no cylinder swaps or refill scheduling. Flow is adjustable between 0.5 and 5 litres per minute; the setting you use is the one your doctor prescribes and should not be changed on your own. The unit produces 93% ± 3 oxygen purity and gives audible and visual warnings for low purity, pressure changes, power failure, compressor fault and filter replacement. Models in the Respirox 5-litre line variously offer a nebuliser outlet and a digital timer. Performance depends directly on the cleanliness of the air intake filter, which must be cleaned or replaced on a regular schedule. Contact us to identify the model code that matches what you need.
